Characteristics and behaviours that made Welch so admired

  • Positive vibes

During the good and bad times,the ability to move on with energy and enthusiasm,the optimistic attitude was very much visible throughout his life and career. This is the first characteristic that made him admired.

  • Potential to enliven others

​​​​​​​The positive vibes Welch had, was shared on to the employees and to the workplace.This not only energised them but also helped to build up healthy relationships between the office mates,which bring about successful outcomes.

  • Fixing boundary

​​​​​​​The capacity to fix margin to the decisions was another trait which made Welch successful.The courage to say yes' or no' in tough situations is very much needed for the successful running of an organisation.

  • Implementing plans

​​​​​​​In order to get work done execution of plan is required,irrespective of the obstacles that come on the way.Jack Welch knew how to implement plans through which he made his business the top most.

  • Desirous

​​​​​​​If you are desirous and love the work you do,you will be able to face any hindrances,care extremely which will also impress others around you,which was seen in case of Welch.

  • Commanding style

Commanding style is needed when you hold a position but it will not be always successful as it can hinder emotional relationships.It is an autocratic approach.

  • No socialisation

Interpersonal relationships are very much important in an organisation.Jack Welch never wanted to be socialised with his low level employees and managers,which destroyed their loyalty towards him.
