A principal of a middle school wants to investigate whether student performance on a math test depends on instructor of the class. She selects 18 random students and assigns each of them randomly to one of three different instructors. The test scores are given below. Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that student performance differs between instructors? Use significance level 0.1

Note that the numbers in this problem have been manufactured such that all of the group means and the grand mean are whole numbers.

here get data in excel then click on data>data anyway >anova >select data>ok

pvalue for anova is 0.02 which is less than 0.10 so rejects H0 and conclue that students performance is differ.

now from anova output total ss=10821 Anova: Single Factor 3. SUMMARY 4. Groups 5 takahashi 6 smith garcia Count Sum Average Variance 402 22.4 634257 31.6 640868
