1) Null and Alternative hypothesis:

Ho : µ = 6800

H1 : µ ≠ 6800

2) α = 1-0.95 = 0.05

Critical value :

Two tailed critical value, z crit = ABS(NORM.S.INV(0.05/2)) = +/- 1.960

Reject Ho if z < -1.96 or if z > 1.96

3. It is a two tailed test.

4. Test statistic:

z = (x̅- µ)/(σ/√n) = (6873 - 6800)/(400/√100) = 1.8250
