Answer :

Placebo effect is a beneficial effect produced by a placebo drug or treatment ,which cannot be attributed to the properties of placebo it self and must there fore due to the patient belief on that treatment

Placebo is a substance or treatment which doesnot have intended therapeutic value but it influence the patient trust on it

Ex : inert Tablets , inert surgeries etc .

Ex : if We take a best example such as ,patient is suffering from the pain and No medication relieves his pain and he asked for injection again and again which is not prescribed by doctor then nurse takes the distiled water in a syringe and pushed to patient ,after some time definitely patient will say that his pain Was relieved with that distilled water ,so here his trust and psychological belief can reduces his pain actually .

3) placebo effect is beneficial to the people it wont cause any harm to people .

4) i experienced one situation , in neurosurgery icu ,patient is asking for sedative after his surgery to decrease his back pain , i injected the sedative as per prescrition by neurosurgeon then after some time he is keep on asking for sadative then i taken a 1 ml of distilled water and pushed to him ,he said that his pain was relieved by injection ( distilled water ) .

So here his trust is worked to relieve his pain
