Pre-determined overhead rate = Estimated Cost / Estimated hours

= $595,000 / 85,000 Hours

Allocated Overhead = Actual Hours * Pre-determined rate

= 87,000 Hrs * $7

= $609,000

Actual Overhead = $599,000

Overapplied Overhead = $609,000 - 599,000

= $10,000
