Answer: Eyewitnesses are those who are present on the spot of the incidents and helps to identify culprits and remember conversations or various details, and sometimes provide the only evidence there is in terms of identification. There are many issues regarding the eyewitness identification. Because sometimes it is not that much accurate.
The eyewitness is generally getting afraid during the incident and then unable to explain it clearly and also they are highly stressed or anxious. And most of the times the human memory tends to recalls incidents because humans do not have the capability to record memories like a video recorder. The witnesses often focus on weapons, not the identity of the perpetrator as they are too afraid of those incidents. Most of the time the witness are unable to describe the exact color, size etc. of the person because they only concentrate on the weapons.
