Answer #1

is the net ionic equation correct? NO

Answer: Net ionic equation is: Cu(s) + 2Ag+(aq) → Cu2+(aq) + 2Ag(s) [Ag(aq) is different from Ag(s)]

What element is oxidized?

Answer: Cu (it loses electrons)

Which element is more active?

Answer: Cu (whichever loses electrons easily will be more active element)

when element is reduced?

Answer: Ag (Please write Ag(aq) as Ag(s) at product side)

which element is less active?

Answer: Ag (whichever gains electrons will be less active element)

I have marked few mistakes with RED color box, Please write Ag(aq) at product side as Ag(s), and also remove + sign for Ag at Total ionic equation product side. Write my provided net ionic equation Cu(s) + 2Ag+(aq) → Cu2+(aq) + 2Ag(s)
