1. The organs of the male reproductive system are specialized for the following functions: To produce, maintain and transport sperm (the male reproductive cells) and protective fluid (semen) To discharge sperm within the female reproductive tract. To produce and secrete male sex hormones.

The female internal reproductive organs are the vagina, uterus, Fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

Genital mutilation.

From there they travel through the cervical canal into the uterine cavity and then into the fallopian tubes. About 500 sperm reach the tubes. If one fertilizes an egg, the tiny fertilized egg begins to grow by dividing – into two cells, then four, and so on.

Sperm then travels through the deferent duct through up the spermatic cord into the pelvic cavity, over the ureter to the prostate behind the bladder. Here, the vas deferens joins with the seminal vesicle to form the ejaculatory duct, which passes through the prostate and empties into the urethra.
