One of the physicians failed to show up for work without
calling
Patients have been waiting in excess of one hour and are rather
vocal about their dissatisfaction
Patient files are not properly stored; stacks are strewn throughout
the office with identifying patient information exposed
Your front desk assistant is texting while checking-in patients and
allowing the office phones to go unanswered
A patient approaches the clinic and falls on the sidewalk outside
severely injuring their ankle.
Reports are left on your desk by the previous manager, marked
“URGENT." You picked them up and notice that they are the financial
reports for the past 3 quarters
What do you do? What ethical issues are present? What are the top
priorities in your assessment?
As a nurse my roles are i will explain step by step as in question.
As first one call the physician and inform abiut the situation,if not ansewring inform the other who is availqble .and reduce the noise and keep talk with the patients and explain the sityation.
Keep talk with patients and explain the situation and keep communicate with them.and ask them for any problems or weekness and keep check vital sings for sick patients.
And ask the office staff to arrange the files in proper manner,as a role of nurse that one characterstics is leadership.
And the major step is the patient falls first assist this patient leave all the work and assist patient and arrange a health team by announcing a alqram or codes somthing was maintained by particular hospital,do first aid and if fracture there should not move the ankle joint.and immediatly inform to doctor and shift the patient to emergency department and fallow the doctor orders.
After shifting of patient manage the area u working and as reports you picked are financial inform to the concern department and handover it to the concern person .
This is the role of nurse....as leader and care giver .thanku
