Answer #1

Calculation 1) C1V1 = C2V2

final volume ( V2 ) = C1 V1 / C2 = ( 0.04 M ) x ( 35 mL ) / 0.0050 M = 280 mL CuSO4

volume of H2O = 280 - 35 = 245 mL

2 ) V2 = ( 0.04 M ) x ( 35 mL ) / ( 0.01 M ) = 140 mL CuSO4

volume of water = 140 - 35 = 105 mL

3) V2 = ( 0.04 M ) x ( 35 mL ) / ( 0.02 M ) = 70 mL CuSO4

volume of H2O = 70 - 35 = 35 mL

4) V2 = ( 0.04 M ) x ( 35 mL ) / 0.03 M = 46.66 mL

volume of water = 46.66 - 35 = 11.66 mL
