Initial momentum of the car = mv = 500 x 35 = 17500kgm/s

Final momentum = mv = 0

Impulse = change in momentum = 0 - 17500= - 17500kgm/s

Force = change in momentum / time = - 17500/ 7 x 10^-4

= 2500 x 10^4 N
