Considering the video itself, it very effectively explains Singapore's efforts at managing its wastes and how it has managed to establish an efficient system in place to deal with the same. However, if we were to look at the issue at hand which, the video does brush over or ignore some very critical aspects. For instance, the video ends with an almost negligible reference to the fact that it's crucial to watch what we consumer as that's the first step towards reducing wastes and making them more manageable. Plastics are still very widely used and that's a factor of the population's consumption patterns. Another aspect ignored is the fact that the plants that perform these treatments on the waste consume a lot more power than they create. The video instead focuses on how many megawatts of electricity it generates, which would be only a fraction of the energy used in the processes. Lastly, while they seem to have found some form of solution, it still appears to be only a temporary one. Singapore is a small country and has hence had to create a landfill space. If every other country in the world with similar land issues was to start building landfill spaces, this could prove extremely detrimental to the seas.
All in all, while the video explains Singapore's efforts to manage waste well, it ignores some glaring issues that exist as well.
