4) A Wattmeter is similar to a galvanometer (see notes): it measures the power consumption of a device. It consists of an electromagnet (a solenoid) generating a uniform magnetic field B along the axis z of the solenoid and a small loop carrying a current Ii which plane can rotate due to the torque exerted by the magnetic field. Show that if the electromagnet is connected to the main in series with the device and if the small loop of resistance R is connected to the mains, than the torque on the loop is proportional to the power consumption of the device.
