Answer #1

Given data:

Half life of tritium =12.3 years = 12.3 x 365 x 24 x 60 x 60 sec.

As 1 year has 365 days , each day has 24 hours, each hour has 60 minutes, each minute has 60 seconds.

We know that disintegration constant is given by:

In (2) X = t1/2

Where t_{1/2} is half life of the substance

Substituting values we get:

= In(2) 12.3* 365 * 24 * 60 * 60 1.8 x 10-9 8-1

Therefore option d) is the required answer.
