please explain the answer, thanks !!!
8. ATP synthase is located on the inner
mitochondrial membrane. There are three subunits
that bind ADP and inorganic phosphate and change conformation during synthesis
of ATP.
B) inner mitochondrial three conformation
Explanation: If we observe the structure of mitochondria and ATP synthesis process we will find that ATP synthase or complex V is located in the inner mitochondrial membrane adjacent to ETC complex. It have two part F0 and F1 and F0 embeded in the membrane where F1 projecting towards inner side of mitochondrial matrix. In F1 structure there is three alternating subunits of alpha and beta which binds to ADP and inorganic phosphate and change their conformation to open tight and close during synthesis of ATP.
9. The two vitamins are
option D) Pantothenic acid and riboflavin
The biochemical reaction involve alpha keto acid which converted to alpha ketoyl CoA so for this purpose CoA is required which only obtainable from pantothenic acid or Vit B5. Along with this there must be another co-enzyme which can accept the reducing equivallents or hydrogens. Riboflavin can produce co-enzyme FAD which converted to FADH2 in this reaction.
10. PEP or phosphoenol pyruvate is a compound with high energy bond. As such it is involved in the transfer of
B) phosphoryl to ADP
Phosphoenol pyruvate formed in the glycolytic pathway by the Enolase through 2-phospho glycerate. This is a high energy compound due to phospate bond. So this compound transfer its high energetic phosphoryl group to ADP to form ATP which utilized by cell to perform various work. Remaining part of the PEP converted to pyruvate which is in terms intermediate for TCA cycle and gluconeogenesis process for further utilization as per body's requirement.
please explain the answer, thanks !!! ATP synthase is located in or on the X membrane....
