#. Developing the Risk Management Plan consists of three separate steps:

1) Identification Stage

2) Classification Stage

3) Treatment of Risk

- Identification Stage -

If you are going to control risks in the program, you must first identify what those risks are (categorize).

- Classification Stage -

The purpose of the classification stage is to determine how often (frequency) the risk may occur and the severity of the potential loss arising from the risk (classify risk).

- Treatment of Risk -

A treatment is a method used to reduce, control, manage or eliminate financial risks and bodily injuries.

2. A person who represents the rights and interests of another individual as though they were the person's own is referred to as a patient advocate .

3. Skills of risk manager :-

a. Avoidance of the risk

b. Transfer of the risk to another party

c. Retention of the risk by the recreation or sport organization or self-insurance

d. Reduction of the risk through efforts to reduce the various types of hazards.

4. sentinel event

an unexpected occurrence, not related to the natural course of the patient's illness or underlying condition, that results in death, serious physical or psychological injury, major permanent loss of function or the risk thereof
