3. The six research methods used for the sociology of physical activity are survey research, interviewing, thematic analysis, ethnography, societal analysis, and historical analysis. Survey research is a great tool that researchers use in order to find out what kinds of characteristics or traits might be useful when becoming a coach or a great athlete. Now interviews are time-consuming but researchers still use them just in a group setting. This type of set up for an interview leads to new insights on how people react in groups and unlike a questionnaire, interviews are intrapersonal and can lead to deeper understandings that wouldn't otherwise be found in a questionnaire. In thematic analysis quite literally the researcher is trying to find a theme in current- day cultural trends in terms of sports. Similar to the graph of sports coaches in the chapter 7 module, the researcher was able to identify a theme and categorize it in terms of the racial ethnicity of professional sports coaches. Ethnography is similar to thematic analysis, except its focused a lot more in terms of cultural impact and less on current themes. The societal analysis examines the impact of physical activity based on society. Trends such as women going into more aesthetic sports such as ballet, dance, or ice skating, men going into more physically demanding and contact-oriented sports such as boxing, football, or martial arts, or maybe even the increase of physical activity derived from the government needing to draft more individuals for war. Finally, the last research method is historical analysis which takes trends from the past and links them to the current day in order to understand where the evolution of physical activity is going.

Answer: For the research there are six methods that is used for sociology of physical activity. One of the methods involves is the interviewing. Interview saves the time as well as this can be implemented for a vast research. Because some of the methods are time consuming. In the case of physical activities performance in daily life schedule.

This kind of interviews are Intrapersonal and also lead to proper understanding which can be easily evaluated. Trends also includes the increase in the sports as well as physical activities. This also includes dance, race, or any kind of activities which includes physical strength. The physical activities improves the condition of the brain as well.
