since the virtual image formed in a distance less than object, so the mirror must be convex.

u = - 41.7 cm

v = 12.7 cm

using mirror formula

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

1/f = 1/ 12.7 - 1/ 41.7

f = 18.26 cm
