US History: Describe and explain why the North won and the South lost the Civil War. In your answer, be sure to consider both the civilian and military aspects of the war.

1)In north they already had an established government as they knew how to function. In North the leader was Abraham Lincoln.

2) In north the economy was already industrialized where as in south it is dependent on environment.

3) In north they had rail and road links which could make them to move supplies where as in south that type of linkage is not there.

4) Compared to South the population in North was much higher which always played a key role in making north win the war.

5) North was able to get support from other countries where as south was not able to do so.

6) North people got the will power to fight where as in southern people we cannot see it.

6) North people recruited many black people into the army and also immigrants. Where as south did not do the same.

7) North there is a strong military where as in south there is only military leadership.

8) In south they followed defensive war strategy on their own soil which backfired on them.
