Answer #1

Correct answer---------$ 24,000

.

Actual manufacturing overhead is debited to manufacturing overhead account. Overhead applied are credited to Manufacturing overhead account.

Actual amount of overhead in above case is Indirect material issued to production.

Manufacturing overhead is factory cost other than direct material and direct labor. In other words all indirect cost of factory are manufacturing overhead. Indirect material is a manufacturing overhead and use of indirect material is debited to manufacturing overhead account.
