Ans:

A). Amount of net income available to shareholders= Reported net income- preferred dividends

= $1,575,000- 220,500

= $ 1,354,500

B). Company basic EPS= Net income available to shareholders / weighted - average shares of common stock

=$1,354,500/300,000

= $ 4.515 per share
