Change in Profit = (New Contribution - Old contribution) - Increase in fixed cost

Change in Profit = (6000*(8-5) - 5000*(6-4)) - 5000

Change in Profit = 18000-10000 - 5000

Change in Profit = 8000 - 5000

Change in Profit = +$3,000
