In essence, a retroreflector is constructed by a corner cube of mirrors (think of the corner of a room where the walls meet the ceiling). The operation of a retroreflector can be understood along a given direction by considering right angle mirror (fig. la). a)With reference to this figure, use the law of reflection to prove that θǐn-Bout. b) If you were looking at such a right angle mirror (of arbitrary size), how many images of yourself could you see?
