If the costs does not covered by the primary insurer then the

Medicare will pay the cost which are not covered, but does not pay for all not covered cost, so it is a secondary payer.

Medicare advantage plan or an employer plan is two types those are one will be the primary payer and onother will be the secondary payer so some times medicare is the primary and some times it is secondary payer in those situarions.

Additional benefits :

* it can cover the most necessary medical care services.

* it can provide preventive health care services like annual exams.

* hospital and clinic out patient services.

* laboratory tests,

* it can cover radiology tests like CT scan, MRI, and X Ray, ect.

* outpatient mental health services.

* it can covers some of the medical equipments.
