Answer #1

Questions 1 . Limitations of ECG measurements other than disadvantage provided in ppt.

Cardiac abnormalities may occur only intermittently and ECG should be done at the right time only to diagnose the disorder because other times patient has entirely normal ECG

False negative is the biggest concern about the ECG. For cardiac patient their EKG is entirely normal but there is changes in the ECG.

Not all cardiac problem is seen in ECG that is vulnerable plaque.

2) Four electrodes are needed in the experiment to catch the every single variation present . It also plays major role in determining heart response and evaluating the underlying pathology . Since the heart is a complex organ it would be next to impossible to derive diagnosis without four electrodes.

They need to be placed at these four places because one can't determine functioning of heart by placing the electrode at one place .To find out proper electrical activity in heart it needs to be placed at different locations . Because ECG only shows individuals electrical activity variation of heart.

3 ) ECG versus wearable fitness tracker

ECG work on the electrical activity of the heart and require proper arrangements of equipment and technique. Whereas the wearables can't do that so they can't be so much realiable in terms of heart health.

On the other fitness wearable are easy to carry and one can travel with that and this facility is not with the ECG one can't roam here and there with ECG machine

ECG machine requires a trained expert to perform ECG but fitness wearable doesn't require it.

ECG can detect numerous pathology and can be diagnostic tool for it also but fitness wearable doesn't have specifications to rule out pathology and give diagnosis. It can only be indicator of poor health or any health abnormalities.

ECG is limited to heart related issue only where as fitness tracker wearable can perform other activities according to it's configuration.
