Compare and contrast the current political climate in healthcare to that of the past. Look at what healthcare is like today and compare if it is better or worse; covers more people or not: etc. in general to the healthcare of the past leading up to today.
Health care now as reached to state where it extends and expands its roles around the globe starting from a grass root level to the highest level of space. The politics plays an important role in the health care system as this tells the development of the health status of the country. When we look into past years the dominance by the political climate in the health care was more where by the people working in the system was not able to raise a concern and the clients were also not be able to get their issues very quickly but on the other hand it was a kind of authoritarian politics. Now the political climate at present is having a quality of transparency and openness whereby the client is the center of care and prioritisation comes to the client approach. Now people in the system are open to the rights and raising concerns and safeguarding when risk arises and now the politics is of a participative kind where it also keeps people at first.
The health today is better compared to past starting from the care, facility, technology, rehabilitation, holistic approach. For instance the deliveries were taking place at the home set up itself where in few places had the maternal mortality rate on rise. As the years went on and today we have the best maternity services providing primary to tertiary care in promotion of health, prevention of disease and rehabilitation. The health care system presently covers a lot of population at the grass root level initiating any schemes and programmes where the sick and needy can benefit. The palliative services provide the best holistic care with compassion for the terminally ill patients to have a peaceful death.
On a view the health care system has its drastic change from just treating a patient for his illness to have a better patient oriented approach taking always the best interest of patient, carers and others involved in the care.
