Answer: The compound (II) only i.e ethyl alcohol can be form the carboxylic acid using proper oxidizing reagent and proper conditions.

Compound (I) i.e secondary alcohol and compound (III), tertiary alcohol can not form carboxylic acid. Compound (I) on oxidation give ketone compound and compound (III) does not undergoes the oxidation.
