Dependency theory of development is an international relations theory which very well explains the relationships and interactions often between Global North and Global South states. As assumed that, where the Global South states are often reliance on the Global North for trade, economic aid. Economic dependency is very common and known. One country relies on the other for some of the other benefits. This is a very well explained theory of how poverty around the globe is affected by these economic dependencies. Now, for an example, the Marshal Plan by US during the second world war, no matter with what intension did help in European revival. Similarily, the recent African revival also explains that there can be huge and remarkable effects of these dependency in improving poverty. Dependency theory is the notion that resources flow from a "periphery" of poor and underdeveloped states to a "core" of wealthy states, enriching the latter at the expense of the former.
