every other week, your office allows time in the schedule over lunch for pharmaceutical representatives to present their new products to rhe office staff. this ussually involves a short representation, and they generally bring lunch for entire office, as well as pens, mugs, tablets, staplers, and gadgets that promote the name of their new drug or product. addituonally, the physician recieve free drug samples to be utilized in caring for patients. as a front office staff member, you are expected to attend these meeting with pay or time off in order to keep abreast of the latest medications and their uses. however, you believe very strongly that it is inappropriates for pharmaceutical companies to spend millions of dollars a year on lunches, lavish dinners which you know doctors attend, and promotional items when so many people are struggling to buy thier medication and must choose each month between putting foods on their table or buying much needed medicine.you feel you not have to attend the luncheons based ob principle.

As a front office staff i have to stick on to the professional ethics , at the same time i will put forward some question like!

With the falling economy, its high time to cut back on lunches but still i could provide with in- service but cannot provide the meal'

or

make the appoinment with the referral sources and learning on how much time will i have during lunch, and deciding on the meal plan , find the best way to learn about new drug or pharma product with the referral sources.
