Reaction steps of
NaCl -------> NaHCO3 --------> Na2CO3 --------> NaCl --------> NaOH ---------> NaCl
NaCl ------> NaHCO3
The reaction involves Sodium Chloride, Ammonia, Carbondi oxide with water to form Sodium Carbonate. Then Sodium Carbonate reacts with Carbondi oxide and water to give Sodium bicarbonate, and this process is Solvay Process.
NaCl + NH3 + CO2 + H2O --------> Na2CO3 + NH4Cl
Na2CO3 + CO2 + H2O --------> 2NaHCO3
NaHCO3 -------> Na2CO3
The reaction takes place by the heating Sodium bicarbonate at 200 F to form Sodium Carbonate, Carbon dioxide and water.
2NaHCO3 ------> Na2CO3 + CO2 + H2O
Na2CO3 -------> NaCl
Sodium Carbonate reacts with Hydrochloric acid to give Sodium Chloride, Carbon dioxide and water.
Na2CO3 + HCl ------> NaCl + + CO2 + H2O
NaCl -------> NaOH
Concentrated Sadium Chloride under Electrolysis gives Sodium hydroxide, Chlorine gas and Hydrogen gas
2NaCl(aq) + 2H2O(l) -------> 2NaOH(aq) + H2(g) + Cl2(g)
NaOH -------> NaCl
Sodium Hydroxide reacts with Hydrochloride acid to give Sodium Chloride
NaOH + HCl -------> NaCl + H2O(l)
