Nursing is an art and profession,where skills in taking care of a patient has to be executed upon the experiences and knowledge.

The patient who are conscious can express their needs whereas the unconscious patient cannot, thisvisvthe place where a nurse should use her skills in meeting the need of the patients.The nurse should have a through knowledge in explaining the problems ,reason behind intervention, medications and diagnostic procedure, along with the side effects and complications, decision making etc.,They should have a good skill on assessing the cognitive behaviour of the patients to provide a better quality of care.
