Discuss the effectiveness of bed rest vs. limited activity as a component of the care management of women experiencing signs of preterm labor.

Answer #1

Bed rest is not found to be effective in women with signs of preterm labour. Instead it develops the risk of lack of employment, stress, venous thromboembolism and demineralization. It also has an adverse effect in family.

Limited activity enhances psychological status and prevent the risk of thromboembolism.
