- Rinse your mouth after using the inhaler to prevent fungal infections of the mouth

- Use a short acting inhaler such as Albuterol for an acute attack.( Albuterol opens the airway )

- If you are having sudden difficulty breathing, use this inhaler

- Using this inhaler will cause your heart to race.Increased heart rate and palpitations may occur if you are using your inhaler frequently. The use of a spacer or chamber device reduces the chance of the “racing heart” side effect by reducing the amount of medication that deposits in your mouth
