PLEASE TYPE ANSWER & DRAW GRAPH ELECTRONICALLY. ( NO HANDWRITING)

Demand is highest for watermelon in the summer, yet that is also when prices are lowest. Draw a graph (electronically) showing both demand and supply for watermelon in both the summer and the winter (i.e. two demand curves and two supply curves on one graph) that illustrates how this situation could be possible.

Answer #1

Watermelon demand in winter is less. And the supply is also less. In the winters the demand increase and with it the supply also increase reducing the price of the goods. s(W) a. S(S) P(S) D(S) D(W) Q1 QuantityHere, the demand curve D(W) represents the watermelon demand in winter and D(S) summer represents the demand in summer. In winter the demand is less and the supply of the watermelon S(W) is also less. That lead to a higher price in the market. In Summer the demand increase and it shift to D(S) ideally the price should have increases but an increase in the supply to S(S) decrease the price. The summer price is P(S) which is less than Winter price P. And summer quantity Q1 is more than the winter quantity Q.

Briefly explain. 4.7 (Related to Solved Problem 3.4 on page 93) The demand for watermelons is highest during summer and lowest during winter. Draw two supply/demand graphs, one with a highly elastic demand and the other with a highly inelastic demand. (If you don’t know what this means, review elasticity.) Give your two supply curves a similar slope and make the equilibrium price the same for both graphs.   On each graph put a price floor at the same level and identify the surplus and deadweight loss. In which case is the effect from the price floor larger? If you're uploading your answers in...

Practice with supply and demand graph basics: please draw a fully labelled supply and demand graph that represents the market for nursing home care, per unit of care. In class we discussed shifters of supply and demand (and chp3 has further discussion). Next, assume that the price of home care services (is this a complement or substitute to nursing home care?) increases. To show that you understand the concept, please provide a fully labelled supply and demand graph, showing what...

Use supply and demand graphs to answer the following two questions. Your submitted response to this Discussion Topic does not need to include the graphs, but your response should describe the outcome as indicated by the questions below. However, you should practice drawing the graphs both to help you get the answers, and because in the final exam you will need to be able to graph shifts in supply and/or demand, and explain the outcomes. Question 1.  Draw a supply-and-demand graph...
