Answer #1

1) For measuring DC voltage, set the knob where the V has a straight line. Plug the black probe into COM and the red probe into mAVΩ. Connect the black probe to the battery’s ground or ‘-’ and the red probe to power or ‘+’. Squeeze the probes with a little pressure against the positive and negative terminals of the AA battery. If you’ve got a fresh battery, you should see around 1.5V on the display.

    11. Since Analog Discovery can only measure voltage, we have to use Ohm's Law to calculate the input current to the circuit (LAB), then calculate total resistance. For the circuit in Fig. 1, connect resistor (Rs - could be any value - for example Rs - 1k) in series with the voltage source (5V) as shown below and use Analog Discovery Voltmeter to measure the voltage across Rs. Then the input current lab (from A to B)= VR/Rs. Measure the...

Q1. You are given a 12 V DC power supply. You are expected to develop a voltage divider to achieve a voltage of nominal 5V value using a pair of resistors from the E 12 range, with the restrition that you are not expected to draw a current of more than 1 mA from the 12 V DC supply i. Develop a simple circuit showing the possible values for each resistor pair, and the range of the DC output possible...
