Conautor - Conductor has free electron that wanders easily inside the conductor like a gas molec- ules move. Due to this reason, electric current passess through the conductor but in insulator, there is approximately no free electrons like conductors. So, insulator does not conduct electricity throught itself. So, charge on the insulator is in static stutation, it does not move at all Charging by induction, this is charging process of a neutral conductor with the help of other charged object but without touching the objects to each other. f- Here net charge is zero means magnitude of negative and positive chrages are same so, they make collectely no net charge.Now, consider a positive charged rod is brought near the pith ball like this way, then, positive charge in the pith ball will be repelled and negative charged will be attracted towards charged rod. f- f- now, when pith ball is grounded (it is just a connection with to the ground with wire beneath the ground about some feet ), then positive charge will tranfer to the ground and now, pith ball will become negative charge.after removing the ground wire, we get negative charge on the pith ball like this,Conservation of charge is like the conservation of energy. As we say energy neither be created nor it is destroyed but it is converted into one form to another. Similiarly, we can say for charge, Charge neither be created nor be destroyed it is only transfer from one body to other. Basic building of charge is electron. I mean fundamental charged particle. So, whenever amount of charge is provided, it means this charge has become by collection of some excess electron if charge is positive, then, in that body, deficiency of electons, if charge is negative , then,, in that body has access of electrons. On the basis of this concept, we can say charge in intergral multiple of electons, we can write it mathematically as, Q - charge n-1, 2,3... integers only) e charge on electron 1.6 x 10-19 C Given, n 1000 Q ne 1000 x 1.6 x10-19 C Q1.6 x 10~-16 C Thus, 1000 electrons make 1.6 x 10-16 C charge
