1. Assertive community treatment is a programme that helps mentally challenged individual to adjust in the community. A team of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, vocational specialists, occupational therapist, family and peers help individuals suffering from mental illness. A team of specialists  help patients to limit functional disabilities and rehabilitate them in the society, find suitable jobs and work place and provide them with better living conditions.

Assertive community treatment aims to improve the quality of life of mentallly ill people, reduce negative outcomes and prevent unnecessary hospitalisation.   

So we can say that the statement is true.

2. Basal ganglia is a group of nucleus present in the brain. It controls the voluntary movement of body and suppress any unnecessary movement through negative feedback.
