I started with 2-methylcyclohexanol and reacted with h3PO4 to get alkene isomers. based on these GC results, what is the percent of each isomer produced?
The reaction was:
As you can see, there are only two possible products, so two peaks should appear in the chromatogram. Since there are more than 2 peaks, we can assume that there is some sort of secondary product or contamination. We will consider these to be the least abundant, so we will work with the two biggest peaks in terms if area, which are peak 1 and peak 4. Amongst these, the addition of their relativa abundances is 125.11 (100 + 25.11). So we can calculate the fraction of each as:
20% of the least abundant isomer (which is the one most to the right, since it is the least substituted alkene.
80% of the most abundant isomer, which is 1-methylcyclohexene, the most substituted isomer, as predicted by Saytzeff's rule.

Part 2 Based upon the results to part 1, the project requires hauling materials to, or from, the site. The following equipment is available for earthwork operations: - One 5-cy heaped capacity bucket loader; a 0.5 min cycle time; 90% fill capacity. - One 7-cy heaped capacity bucket loader; a 0.6 min cycle time; 90% fill capacity. 45.9-cy heaped capacity off-road trucks; a 0.5 min dump time; 100% fill capacity. - Loaded trucks travel through the following three sections: Haul...

1. Two manufacturing processes are being compared to try to reduce the number of defective products made. During 8 shifts for each process, the following results were observed: Line A Line B n 181 | 187 Based on a 5% significance level, did line B have a larger average than line A? *Use the tables I gave you in the handouts for the critical values *Use the appropriate test statistic value, NOT the p-value method *Use and show the 5...
