Answer #1

Equation of the wave :

y = A sin (kx)

where A = amplitude

k = wave vector = k=27/

where \lambda = wavelength of the wave

λ =υν

v= velocity = 3cm/sec

\nu = frequency = 1 Hz

hence \lambda = 3 cm

k = k= 2*/= 2*3.14159/3 = 2.094

hence wave of the equation :

y = 1* sin (2.094x) = sin(2.094x)
