(a) This is convenience sampling as the sample has been chosen arbitrarily and only those will answered who felt so that means it can not be considered random sampling.

(b) Yes,This is biased sampling as the sampling is not random and only those person will participate who felt the situation so the answer can be biased.

(2)  The average time for running a mile in the U.A.E. ( entire USE) = 5:52 is parameter.


The statistic is the average time for running a mile in the U.A.E. in the recent track event (only for the sample i.e. sample mean) = 5:45
