Answer #1

a)implied population is people who have recently applied for unemployment benefits in the country

b) from given table: P(X>=12)=0.0362

this tells us that probability of getting 12 or more people who have some feeling of sadness within 30 days  out of 68 randomly selected person who have applied for unemployment benefits in the country is 0.0362.

or if we take many samples of 68 such persons then on average approximately 3.62 % of samples have 12 or more people who have some feeling of sadness within 30 days

c) as probability of getting such sample is unusual (less then 0.05 ) we can conclude that there is a chance the percentage is greater then 10% of having a person with such feelings
