a. If the work was done on the system then the sign will be positive since,the system was absorbing energy.

b. Enthalpy of the reaction is negative means the energy has been released i.e. the reaction is exothermic.

c. Heat of the system is negative means thermal energy left the system.

d. When the surrounding experience an increase in temperature it means the system has transferred energy to surrounding i.e. the q of system is negative.
