The law allows for our data to become public once it is transmitted to third parties, such as Amazon.com or pretty much anyone else that you shop with. When you shop online, then there is a papertrail of your digital purchases, and this is what Big Data collects in order to interpret information to position these retails to best advantage (and to our monetary disadvantage). How do others feel about this? Are you comfortable with Facebook and Target watching your every move?

Many customers dont simply know their data is been tracked and have been used for customer profiling like large organisation namely Amazon, Target, Walmart which deploy Big data Analytics to generate customers needs based on preferences. Undoubtedly it is good as it serves customer in better deals and offers to retain them however at huge cost of breaching private confidentiality of customers related to address, Email, Buying Behaviour, contacts.

Consumers are comfortable generally because of faith and trust in brands but there are certain tech savvy customers who dont believe in ethical business models and hence do not simply allow to share such data. They basically avert such shopping sites or delete cookies as and when they login to curb any data loss.
