J.E., a 37-year-old woman with no prior history of allergies, was working in her yard when she received a sting on the right wrist from a yellow-jacked wasp. Several minutes later she complained of a itching sensation and cramping abdominal pains. She then became acutely short of breath with wheezing. A patchy erythema radiating from the area of the sting was noted along with swollen eyelids and lips. A neighbor took her to the hospital where she became very faint and could not talk or provide information to assist with a diagnosis. Vital signs were as follows: BP of 60/34; Pulse of 156; Respiration rate of 40 Epinephrine 1/1000 was administered IM along with 100 mg of hydrocortisone. Within minutes, an improvement in the respiratory rate was noted and blood pressure increased to 100/70 with a pulse of 112. Why is it important for the patient to carry an EpiPen with him and wear a Medic-Alert bracelet? Suggest several situations the patient should avoid to reduce the risk of future stings

It is important for the Patient to carry a epi pen with him because we never know whats gonna happen next in our life we have to take care of ourselves and epi pen must to carry for a patient who has allergic problems.

-In our environment we find most of the places insect which can create allergy to the allergic patient by sting

-This condition can be life threatening also

-Medical alert bracelet is good to carry with the person to avoid emergency conditions it is very helpful for anaphylaxis reactions

-It gives warning to the medical health care so they will come to help you.

epi pen is a automatic injector which contains epinepherine. it is helpful in allergic reactions

-It gives relief to the patient immediately and keep normal health status

there are some situations which patient should avoid to risk of future stings are as follows;

1.Take allergy shot or immunotherapy

2.Patient should wear light colours and white colour clothing because it reduce the risk of sting.

3.Don't go near to the nest of insects.

4.Don't try to get rid off by yourself you need call professionals to destroy it

5.If you stung then cover your mouth and nose and you need to find enclosed space like building , room or vehicle to move in.

6.Don't go out without foot wears .

7.When eat food outside need to cover it.

8.If insect is near by you then you need to be very careful you have to move back slowly and do not flap your arms.
