1. Percent weight loss is calculated by :

- substract the present weight from usual weight

- then divide the difference from usual weight and multiply it by 100 .

2. This patient was started on TPN rather than parenteral nutrition because resection of bowel was done so for the healing purpose and also as she had Crohn's disease it won't get absorbed easily ,TPN was started .

3. Complications with IV catheter are :-

- infiltration

- infection

- thrombosis

- hematoma

- phlebitis

- thrombophlebitis

- nerve injury

- extravasation
