Answer #1

The other system which has to be inquired about based on this medication are

  • Gastrointestinal :abdominal pain and cramping may occur when both medication are taken
  • Gastritis, malena ,nausea and "Ulcer" is common with a NSAID (Aspirin) ,diarrhoea is common with plavix
  • Sensory system:assess for tinnitus (aspirin)
  • Cardiovascular :chest pain (aspirin) and bleeding (both drug)
  • Muscular:Muscle pain ,rash(plavix)
  • CNS:headache (plavix) vertigo ,dizziness (Aspirin )
  • Endocrine :Inflammed pancreas causing low blood sugar level

The best way to assess the heart tone is by auscultation.

Use of plavix and aspirin indicates a A wave before the S1 heart sound in these patients .Grade II/VI murmur can be heard.
