RUBELLA
Rubella also known as German measles or three day measles is an infection caused by rubella virus.This disease is often mild with half of people not realizing that they are affected.
INCUBATION PERIOD
The incubation period for rubella is 14-23 days with an average incubation period of 16-18 days.
ONSET
Prodromal symptoms are unusual in young children but are common in adolescents and adults.The following signs and symptoms usually appear 1-5 days before the onset of rash.eye pain on lateral and upward eye movement, conjunctivitis.
DURATION
The rubella rash usually lasts 3 days..lymph nodes may remain swollen for a week or more and joint pain can last for more than 2 weeks .Children usually recover within 1 week
CHARACTERISTICS OF RASH
Pink or Red rash that begins on the face and then spreads downward to the rest of the body.Mild fever usually under 102 degree farenheit swollen and tender lymph nodes,runny or stuffy nose.

RUBEOLA
Rubeola is a highly contagious infectious disease caused by measles virus.
INCUBATION PERIOD
Measles virus is shed from the Nasopharynx beginning with the prodrome until 3-4 days after rash onset.the incubation period of measles is 10-12 days
ONSET
Initial symptoms generally consist of fever malaise cough conjunctivitis and coryza. The characteristics maculopapular rash appear 2-4 days after onset of the prodrome.
DURATION
A wide spread skin rash is a classic sign of measles.This rash can last upto 7 days and generally appears within 14 days of exposure to virus.
CHARACTERISTICS OF RASH
3-5 days after symptoms begin a rash break out.it usually begins as flat red spots that appear on the face at the hairline and spreads to neck, trunk, arms, legs and feet

ROSEOLA
A common viral infection in young children that may cause high fever and a rash
INCUBATION PERIOD
usually from time of exposure to the virus to symptom development.about 5-14 days.the individual remains contagious until 2 or 3 days after fever subsides.
ONSET
typically starts with a sudden high fever often greater than 39.4 degree celcius. some children may experience sore throat,running nose,or cough along with or preceding the fever
DURATION
The fever of roseola lasts from 3 -7 days followed by a rash lasting from hours to few days.
CHARACTERISTICS
A roseola rash starts on the torso before spreading to the arms ,legs,neck, and face.It appears as small pink spots athat may have a lighter ring or halo around them.rash does not cause itching

VARICELLA
A highly contagious viral infection causes an itchy blister like rash on the skin.
INCUBATION PERIOD
The average incubation period for varicella is 14-16 days after exposure
ONSET
A mild prodrome of fever and malaise my occur 1-2 days before rash onset,particularly in adults.In children the rash is often the first sign of disease
DURATION
The itchy blister rash caused by chicken pox infection appears 10-21 days after exposure to the virus and usually lasts about 5-10 days.

The rash is usually itchy and blister like rash. The rash appears initially on the chest ,back,and face,and then spreads over the entire body
