conversion of 1-methyl cyclohexanol to 1-methyl cyclohexene(major product) is the dehydration reaction you can compare both reactant and products via functional group.

1)-in the product

major peak at 3000 cm-1 is due to the alkene =CH stretching there is no other functional group peak in this spectra

2)- in the reactant major peak at around 3300 cm-1 is due to the the free OH group

and peak at approx 2900 cm-1 is due to the CH3 and CH2 groups.
