You buy a super cool dog whistle that emits sound at a frequency of 19 000 Hz. Unfortunately when you blow it you notice no response from your dog, so wonder if the whistle is broken. From experimenting during your sound wave lab you know that you can hear up to a frequency of 18 500 Hz. You give the whistle to a friend of yours and ask him to blow it while riding on a bike to see if you can hear it.

  1. Should your friend ride the bike towards you or away from you?_____________________
  2. What is the minimum speed your friend must have for you to be able to hear the dog whistle? (assuming the whistle is not broken)
