The following lab results were reported for a 15-year-old male. His mother told the physician the he had lost weight recently even though his appetite and thirst had increased dramatically. She also said she believed her son to be extremely fatigued because he would get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

1. The reports indicate Diabetic ketoacidosis ,because his fasting glucose is above normal, polyphagia , polyuria and polydipsia , increased CO2, and metabolic acidosis . Primary diagnosis is diabetes and alternative diagnosis is Diabetic ketoacidosis.

2. The parameters which indicates the condition are :-

Glucose fasting

CO2

Acidosis

3. The test done are CBC ,LFT/RFT and Urine test

4. Other blood test which is main is ABG because it will give you the accurate answer . Additional testing - HBA1C .
